Greenville, Maine Visitors Guide
Known as Haskell until it’s incorporation in 1836, Greenville is part of Maine’s mountain region. It is home to the International Seaplane Fly-In festival (Sept) and the Moose Maine Festival (Mid-May – Mid June). You will find quaint stores, an assortment of rental cabins, campgrounds, B&B’s and resorts, casual and fine dining, and many other ways to relax as you visit this Moosehead Lake region.
Things to Do in Greenville
Moosehead Maritime Museum – In the east cove is the Katahdin steamboat. You can go on board and see exhibits from the age of the steamboat as well as book your place for a cruise.
Eveleth Crafts – Sheridan Historical House – Come see this beautiful 1800’s residence, decorated with period furnishings. There are a variety of places for outdoor adventure whether you are looking to hit the slopes, climb new heights or sail the seas. At Big Mountain Alpine you can enjoy Nordic and alpine skiing, climb the fire tower at Moosehead Lake, go camping, hiking, fishing, and more at Lily Bay State Park or take a ride on kayak, canoe, seaplane, pontoon boat or a tube float with the professionals at Moose Safari’s or the Northwood’s Outfitters.
